Artist Statement

A consistent theme throughout my work, regardless of media, is the process of piecing, curating and creating common ground. Drawing, collage, stained glass, oil pastel, acrylic, quilted fabric, beading… I often combine two or three of these, playing with layers, texture and pattern, and trying to let go of right and wrong. My art and physical process is about finding and creating previously unknown relationships between spaces, colors and cut materials.

My studio at Holliston Mills is symbolic of a return to art creation after a 15+ year hiatus and also the manifestation of an early vision board created back in high school after my first Open Studios visit in Hartford, CT. When not creating, you can find me with family: Cory, Mia, Gavin and our Cavalier King Charles, Chloe. In addition to my kids, you will also find my parents at the studio, who inspired my creativity early with their own interests in lapidary, painting, sewing and stained glass.

Professionally, I spend my days as the Director of Talent & Organization Development at Bose.   I attained my BFA from Suffolk University School of Art & Design (the New England School of Art & Design) in 1997 and my MBA from The University of Maryland in 2003. I am also a certified life and leadership coach with credentials from The Coaches Training Institute.
