I grew up in rural CT with artistic parents, so boredom in my home meant someone would put a pencil in my hand. Thankfully, I came to love my creative side rather than run from it. I’ve always had eclectic taste; in people, art, food and surroundings. In the past my painting felt disparate to me but over time it has come to be what love about it.
The inspiration to paint something can come from any number of things. And, in turn, the way I approach the work is equally varied. The thread that holds the work together is the element of the mythical entwined with reality applied to the canvas with conviction.
Painting has enriched my life. I am indebted to its calling.
